Joseph Marion was born on October 27th, 1845 in Mercer County, Pa.  Joseph Marion's father was Taggert Joseph Marshall and his mother was Mary Nacny Abigail Royce.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Marshall and Sara?. He had a brother and three sisters, named Frank M, Jennie Nancy, Sarah Cecilia and Esther Ann.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 77 on October 30th, 1922.
