Jacob was born about 1693 in Grange MM, Charlemont, Armagh, Ireland.  Jacob's father was Jacob Marshall and his mother was Margaret Edwards.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Edwards and Margaret Ap Johns. He had a sister named Mary.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died about 1729 in New Garden,Chester Co.,Pennsylvania.
