Gilbert of Houghall, co. Durham of Selaby Marshall

Gilbert of Houghall, co. Durham of Selaby's father was Thomas of Denton, Durham Marshall Gent and his mother was <Unknown>. He had two brothers named Richard of Gray's Inn, co. Middlesex, Esq. Devises lands in Selaby, Gainford, etc., in Co .of St. Sepulchre's, Middlesex and Gilbert of Houghall, co. Durham. He died before March 5th, 1680 in Gray's Inn, co. Middlesex.

  Back in 2003, I noted--as supporting evidence for the proposition that
  John Eaton's wife Catherine was nee Bourchier--that Gilbert Marshall,
  Catherine Bourchier's nephew [her sister Elizabeth (Bourchier)
  Marshall's son], was baptized in the Eatons' London church. There is a
  bit of further supporting evidence in _The Manuscripts of the House of
  Lords, 1693-1695_ in the Historical MSS. Commission series--
  
  p. 309:
  
  19 Jan. [1693/4]. Petition of Richard Marshall and Barrington Eaton,
  Merchant. Petitioners having obtained a judgment in ejectment against
  Gilbert Marshall he has brought a writ of error to their Lordships.
  Pray for an early day for hearing the cause. Signed by the
  Petitioners. Endorsed as read this day. ...
