Pleasant J was born in 1812 in TN.  Pleasant J's father was Amos Lovelady and his mother was Claramon Boaz.  His paternal grandparents were Marshall Lovelady and Hannah M Ware. He had a brother named James L.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 58 in 1870.
