John was born in 1736.  John's father was Thomas Lovelady (Lovelatty) and his mother was Hannah Hix.  His maternal grandparents are Henry Hix and <Unknown>. He had three brothers named Jesse, Thomas and Marshall.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died about 1795 in Greene Co., TN.
