Robert Ap was born about 1560. Robert Ap's father was Llewellyn Lewis Ap Gruffydd and his mother was ETHLI or ELLAN Ellen Verch Edwards. His paternal grandparents were Griffith Gruffydd and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are Gruffydd Ap LLYWELYN and Mary Verch Howell. He was an only child.
