Philip was born in 1799.  Philip's father was William Langfitt (Langford??) and his mother is Margaret Campbell.  His maternal grandfather was James Campbell and his maternal grandmother is Patience Hoge (Hogue). He had a brother named James.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 76 in 1875.
