Mary was born on April 5th, 1830.  Mary's father is Samuel Jack and her mother was Nancy Porter.  Her paternal grandparents are Capt Matthew Jack and <Unknown>; her maternal grandfather is Samuel Porter and her maternal grandmother was Harriet Reed.  Richard Wilson Porter and Isabella Mariah Reed was her grandfatheris her grandmother through her mother's adoption. She has a brother named Matthew.  She is the younger of the two children.
