John Alexander was born on January 31st, 1798 in KY.  John Alexander's father was George Holloway and his mother was Frances Tiller.  His paternal grandparents were Dr William Holloway and Jane Carter.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 89 on December 5th, 1887.
