Anne was born on March 14th, 1793 in Deep Creek, Surry, North Carolina.  Anne's father was Stephen Hobson Jr and her mother was Rachel Vestal.  Her paternal grandparents were Anne Barnes and Stephen Hobson.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 82 in 1875 in Marshalltown, Marshall Co, IA.
