Ann Jean was born in 1763 in Rowan County, NC.  Ann Jean's father was Samuel Hillis and her mother was Ann Luckey.  Her paternal grandparents are John and Rachel. She had a brother named Robert.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 94 in 1857.
