James Theophilus Hill

James Theophilus was born on July 30th, 1838 in Sumter Co., Alabama. James Theophilus' father was Abraham Marshall Hill and his mother was Julianne Maria Julia Baines. His paternal grandparents were Theophilus Hill and Rebekah Gibson; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Baines and Mary McCoy. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Baines, George M, Andrew William, Abraham Marshall, Mary Ann, Sarah Frances, Margaret Gibson and Julia McCoy. He was the third oldest of the nine children.
