Clara was born on August 9th, 1763 in NC.  Clara's father was Abraham Hill Jr and her mother was Christian Katherine Walton.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Hill group 11 R1b Hill and Judith Hunter; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Walton and Sarah. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named John A, Abraham, Henry, Theophilus, Noah, Miles, Wiley  Wylie, Thomas, Judith Judie, Sarah, Mary Pope and Polly.
