Allen was born in November 1792 in Windsor Township, Bertie Co. NC.  Allen's father was Isaac Charles County Md. and Bertie County, NC Hill Sr and his mother was Lucinda Wallace.  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Hill and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Adam Wallace and <Unknown>. He had four brothers named Henry John Alexander, John J, 14 ch and <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 81 on January 4th, 1874 in Clark County AR.
