William was born on January 2nd, 1775 in Pennsbury Twp., Chester Co., Pa.  William's father was Amos Harvey and his mother was Hannah Pusey.  His paternal grandparents were William Harvey and Ann Evitt. He had a brother named Ellis.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 75 on August 26th, 1850 in Kennett, Chester Co., PA.
