Tobias was born in 1641.  Tobias' father was Thomas Hanson and his mother was Mary Paul.  His paternal grandparents were John Hanson and Frances Prichard. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Isaac, Timothy, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 52 on May 10th, 1693.
