Crawford Cherokee Bill was born on February 8th, 1876 in Fort Concho, TX.  Crawford Cherokee Bill's father is George Goldsby and his mother is Ellen Beck (half Negro, a fourth Cherokee and a fourth white).  His paternal grandparents are Col Thorton Boykin Goldsby and Hester King (mulatto); his maternal grandparents are Luge Beck (Cherokee 1/2) and Tempe (Cherokee 1/2).  He is an only child.
