    Our GARRISSON II project needs sponsors and DNA participants from the Aaron GARRISON & Eliz BRIDWELL line. A Mr. Robert Soaring Eagle Garrison also known as Robert L. Garrison has written authoritatively on this line, and has traced Aaron to "John C. Garrison born Nov. 12, 1681 in Maryland Colony, married Bess Evelyn MacKnight" (see Robert SE Garrison's posting, repasted below):

    My father Leonard Garrison and all his brothers & sisters, my brothers & sisters and I were all born in Big Stone Gap, Wise Co., Va. My Grandfather, and great grandparents all are buried in Glencoes Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, Va. The grandparents and great grandparents all were born in adjoining counties but came to Wise County to live and died there. I am Robert L. Garrison, born Sept. 24, 1937, BSG, Va., my father Leonard R. Garrison Born Oct. 25, 1906, BSG, Va., married Stelma Douglas of Norton, Va., my grandfather Conley Trigg Garrison was born in Mendota, Washington Co., Va. on April 10, 1880, married Mary Anne Bowers, (or Stout)(a Cherokee Indian), also of B. S. G., Va., my 1st great grandfather Rufus Harvey Garrison was born Sept. 30, 1834 in Washington Co., Va., married Nancy Jane Orender (a Shawnee Indian) April 23, 1872, (all of the preceding are buried in Glencoe Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, Wise Co., Va.) my 2nd great grandfather Harvey Garrison July 23, 1804 in Russ!
    ell Co. died Sept 15, 1876 - Abindon, Va., married Amanda C. Bailey on Dec. 23, 1830, my 3rd great grandfather William Garrison, Jr. was born in 1762 in Stafford Co., Va. married Nancy Sharp (a Cherokee Indian ) , my 4th great grandfather William Garrison was born Oct 23, 1746 in Stafford Co., Va. married Jane (unknown). William explored the western parts of Virginia, coming to Castle's Woods as early as 1767 and was the first white settler at Morris Knob in what is now Tazewell Co., Va., my 5th great grandfather was Aaron W. Garrison was born Jan. 6, 1715 in Accomack Co., Va. married Elizabeth Bridwell, my 6th great grandfather was John C. Garrison born Nov. 12, 1681 in Maryland Colony, married Bess Evelyn MacKnight, my 7th great grandfather was John Garrisson born (Est.) 1629 in France. He was a Huguenot and fled France to England and there was transported to the Colonies in 1663."
    
    The author of the tremendous research pasted above, seems to sign his name on some of his postings, both as:

    Who has written with him or knows of him?
    
    Aaron Garrison & Eliz BRIDWELL line of VA is often shown as of Montauban lineage, via Isaac b. abt 1685, (but not proven yet via DNA) so it is significant that Robert L. Garrison so authoritatively traces Aaron & Eliz BRIDWELL to a different heritage.
    
    Thanks for any help on this early Maryland family. This eary Huegenot family needs to join GARRISSON II DNA Project. I have seen online entries in the Maryland Archives for early 1600's John Garrisons, but I have never seen any of the material myself...can anyone verify this research....?
