Eliza was born in 1819 in Choctaw Nation, Mississippi.  Eliza's father is Adam Folsom and her mother is Eliza.  Her paternal grandparents are Nathaniel 5 Folsom and Ai-Ne-Chi-Hoyo Aiahnichih I-Ah-Ne-Cha Ohoyoh (Choctaw Iksa Hattakiholihta Clan).  She is an only child.
