William's father was Chief Nemacolin Lenape Nation; Unami (Turtle) Tribe and the Fish Clan lived next door to Thomas Cresap Fish and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Chief Chickoconnecon, Chief of the Fish Clan Checkoconnicon Checochinican Fish and Poynton. He had a brother named Lonacona.
