Joseph Duncan

• General Notes
  • My search begins with four brothers who are Cherokee Indian and lived
    in what is now Tenessee. They received land thru a treaty in 1818.
    
    The brothers are:
    
    Charles Gordon Duncan
    Darcob Duncan
    Edmund Duncan
    John Duncan
    
    I have more information about John Duncan's line.
    
    1. John Duncan
    
    Son: Joseph Duncan (born in later 1820's and grew up on the Indian
    reservation in Oklahoma) m. Rachel Granger
    
    Son: John Henry Duncan (ended up in Fulton, MO) m. Susan May Young
    
    Sons: Lucian, Earthol (who married Marie Robinson), John
    Wesley, and William Theodore
    
    Daughters: Minnie Mabel and Myrtle
    
    Earthol and William Theodore lived in Des Moines, Iowa, The remaining
    children lived in Missouri.
    
    John Henry's line is basically complete as he is my great grandfather.
    I am having difficulty finding out more about Charles, Darcob, and
    Edmund.
