Clarinda's father was Benjamin Downing (Terrell poss) and her mother was Margaret Peggy Rattling Gourd.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Downing and Elizabeth Qua-wa-tlv Graves (mixed). She had a brother and three sisters, named <Unknown>, Sarah, Elizabeth and Catherine.
