WIlliam was born in 1610.  WIlliam's father was Robert Craven and his mother was Mary Shearwood.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Craven and Margaret Brockden. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Thomas and Margaret.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 45 on October 12th, 1655.
