Robert was born about 1753 in Choctaw Nation, Mississippi.  Robert's father is James Kusha Cole and his mother is Shumaka (Choctaw Okla Falaya (Tall People)).  His maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had a brother and two sisters, named Roscoe, Nahomtima Rebecca and Immayahoka.  He is the oldest of the four children.
