Charles Clay

Charles was born on July 3rd, 1740 in Cumberland Co. VA. Charles' father was Henry Clay II and his mother was Lucy Marston Green. His paternal grandparents were Henry Clay I and Mary Mitchell; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Abner Green III and Elizabeth Marvell Marston. He had three brothers and a sister, named Henry, Samuel Green, Abia and Rebecca. He was the second oldest of the five children.
