Marshall Allen was born on October 15th, 1831 in VA.  Marshall Allen's father was John Stalnaker and his mother was Susannah Chenoweth.  His paternal grandparents were George Washington Stalnaker and Susannah Hart; his maternal grandparents were Robert Chenoweth and <Unknown>. He had a brother named George Milton.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 41 in 1872.
