George was born in 1718.  George's father was Robert King Carter and his mother was Elizabeth Betty Landon.  His paternal grandparents are Col John Carter and Sarah Ludlow. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Landon, Ludlow, Robert, <Unknown>, Sarah, Elizabeth, Lucy and <Unknown>. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Judith and Ann.  He died at the age of 24 in 1742 in England.
