John was born on December 26th, 1706.  John's father was Capt Thomas CARR and his mother was Mary DABNEY.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas CARR and his paternal grandmother is Lucy and or Mary GARLAND; his maternal grandparents were Cornelius Dabney and Susan unk. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Agnes and Sarah Dabney.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 71 on June 17th, 1778.
