Samuel Candy (Ani'-Wa'ya = Wolf Clan (Nanye'hi)) Jr

Samuel was born about 1768. Samuel's father was Samuel Candy and his mother was Catherine Ka-Ti Kingfisher (Ani'-Wa'ya = Wolf Clan (Nanye'hi)). His maternal grandparents were Chief Kingfisher (Ani'-Kawi' = Deer Clan (Ga-ho-ga)) and Nancy Prophetess Na-ni Ghi-Ga-U aka Nancy Ward Nanye-hi ("One Who Goes About") Ward (Ani'-Wa'ya = Wolf Clan (Nanye'hi)). He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named John, George, George, Ezekiel, Jennie, Nannie, Elizabeth, Susannah, Ruth and Sallie.
