Susannah was born in 1667 in Lancaster Co, VA.  Susannah's father was John Buford and her mother was Elizabeth Parrott.  Her paternal grandparents are Richard Beaufort (Beauford Buford) and Vause. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Ambrose and Elizabeth.  She is the third oldest of the four children.
