Logan was born in 1814 in Person Co., NC.  Logan's father was Jeremiah Brooks and his mother was Elizabeth Thomas. He had two brothers and two sisters, named David, Green, Nancy Woody and Janes.  He died at the age of 56 in 1870 in Person Co., NC.
