Gideon Bowles

Gideon was born in 1734. Gideon's father is John Bowles Sr and his mother is Eleanor Parsons. His paternal grandparents are Gideon Bowles and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are Sir William Parsons and <Unknown>. He has three brothers named John, Stephen and Hugh.

  GIDEON BOWLES of Oxford, England, was
  a merchant in Dublin, Ire., in 1752. His oldest son
  John married Eleanor, the granddaughter of Sir William
  Parsons. Of the sons of John and Eleanor five came
  to Virginia. One, Gideon, went to Goochland county;
  James went to Leesburg, Loudon county, and John
  went to Winchester, Frederick county, Va. The
  other two emigrant brothers were Stephen and Hugh.
  The family is mentioned in "Notes of the Parsons
  Family."
