Samuel was born about 1710 in Calvert County, Maryland.  Samuel's father was Henry Austin and his mother was Elizabeth Hilleary.  His maternal grandfather was Thomas Hilleary. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Robert and Mary.  He died in January 1765 in Calvert County, Maryland.
