Richard was born on May 6th, 1912 in Liesing.¹

Richard's father was Oskar Adler and his mother was Therese Steiner (Adler).  His paternal grandparents are Samuel Adler and Wilhelmina Weiss; his maternal grandparents are Stefan Steiner and Katharina Schmid.  He was an only child.  He died from cancer at the age of 60 on May 26th, 1972.

  Death certificate notes immediate cause of death as "rupture of colon into peritoneum," on the last day, due to "thrombocytopenia" for the last three months, due to the underlying cause of "lymphosarcoma" for the last 8 months of his life.
