Samuel II Rice

Samuel II was born on December 15th, 1852 in Floyd, Kentucky, United States.¹ Samuel II's father was JOHN William S Rice and his mother was ELIZABETH "Betsy" Mead. His paternal grandparents were SAMUEL I Rice and PHOEBE Hitchcock; his maternal grandparents were MOSES Mead and MARY Polly Hackworth. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Moses F, William "Ben" Marion, John M, Andrew J, Basil, William, PHOEBE Ellen, Elizabeth Emiline, Julia Ann, Emma and Alice.
