Thaddeus was born in 1785 in Ashe, North Carolina, United States. Thaddeus' father was JAMES Theopholus Lewis Sr. and his mother was WINNIE I Henson. His paternal grandparents were NATHANIEL Lewis and LADY Elvira Helton; his maternal grandfather was PAUL Henson and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Nathan, Absolom, Andrew, Samuel, Isaac, Juder, Joseph "Joe", JOHN, Margaret "Peggy", Winnie II, Mary "Polly", Sally, Betsy Phoebe and Patsy. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James Theophilus, Joseph, Gideon, John, Martha Patsy, Elvira and Betsy. He died at the age of 40 in November 1825 in Leslie, Kentucky, United States.-
