Elizabeth was born in 1796 in Ashe, North Carolina, United States. Elizabeth's father was James Theophilus Lewis Sr. and her mother was Winnie Henson. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Lewis and Elvira Helton; her maternal grandfather was Paul Henson and her maternal grandmother is Elizabeth. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Gideon, Joseph, John, Nathan, Thaddeus, Absolom, Andrew, Samuel, Isaac, Elvira, Martha Patsy, Patsy, Margaret Peggy and Pasty. She had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Gideon, James Theophilus, Joseph, Samuel, Juder, Isaac, Martha Patsy, Elvira, Patsy, Margaret Peggy and Mary Polly. She died at the age of 29 in November 1825 in Perry, Kentucky, United States.-
