Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Hampton and Susannah Caudill; her maternal grandparents were JAMES Christopher Gullett and PATSEY Bailey. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named George M., William, Joseph, John, Darius, Nancy Jane, Mary, Fannie or Fanna, Louisa Lula, Laura, Cora and Florence. She was the oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 72 on February 14th, 1938 in Kentucky, United States.
