His paternal grandparents were JESSE I Hall and CANDACIA "Dicy" Hash; his maternal grandparents were JOHN Jacob Smith and SUSANNA Scarbrough. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Jesse II, Esquire "Devil Squire", Jarvey, ELIJAH, William, Owen, Masias Cyrus II, Elizabeth Betty, Nancy, Pheninah "Pheney", Frances "Frankie", Angeline Anzy and Lydia. He was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 46 on August 30th, 1855 in Shelby City, Pike, Kentucky, United States.1 -
