JOHN Franklin was born on August 10th, 1862 in Boaz, Marshall, Alabama, USA.1   JOHN Franklin's father was ADDISON Lafayette Bishop and his mother was CELIA Ann "Sealyann" Cranford.  His paternal grandparents were JAMES W Bishop I and JANE Callahan; his maternal grandparents were WILLIAM Lewis Cranford and POLLY Sanders. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named James L, Pally Jane, William Attison "Att", Ignashious Marion, George Wood, Andrew Lafayette, Henry Newton, Margarette S L, Mary Rebecca, Elira A and Elizabeth Ann.  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 76 on February 27th, 1939 in , Oak Grove, Jefferson, or Franklin, Alabama, USA.
