Countess Margarethe of the Mark

Margarethe was born in 1340 in Mark Kr Hamm, Westfalen, Prussia.¹ Margarethe's father was Count Adolf of Mark II and her mother was Countess Margarethe of Kleve. Her paternal grandparents were Count Engelbert of the Mark and Mathilde d' Arenberg. She had two brothers and a sister, named Adolf, Engelbert and Mathilde. She was the oldest of the four children.
