Godegisel of the Burgundians 
Godegisel was born about 0443 in Bourgogne, France.1 Godegisel's father was King Gundioc de of the Burgundians and his mother was Caratene de Bourgogne. His paternal grandparents were Gunther de Burgundy and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Rechila of the Suevi and de Wallia. He had two brothers named Chilperic II and Gundobad. He was the oldest of the three children. He died about 0501 in Bourgogne, France.1 Death Notes

General Notes
Succeeded with his brother Gundobad as sole rulers of the Burgundians. In 500, Clovis I, King of the Franks, defeated Gundobad with the help of Godigisel. This battle was followed by more between the two brothers. Gundobad killed Godigisel while in an Arian church.
