Margravine Uta of Meissen

Uta was born in 1015 in Ballenstedt, Anhalt, Germany.¹   Uta's father was Adalbert von Ballenstedt and her mother was Countess Hidda of Lusatia. She had a brother and a sister, named Esiko and Hazecha.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
