Prince Boleslaw (The Curly) of Mazovia-Kujavia and Krakow IV

Boleslaw, known as The Curly, was born in 1125 in Krakbow, Poland.¹ The Curly's father was Prince Boleslaw (Crooked Mouth) of Poland III and his mother was Countess Salome of Berg-Schelklingen. His paternal grandparents were Prince Wladislaw Herman of Poland I and Princess Judita of Bohemia I; his maternal grandparents were Count Heinrich of Berg and Countess Adelaide of Monchenthal. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Leszek, The Old, Henryk, The Just, Adelajda, Sventoslava, Zofia, Gertruda, Dobronega, Judyta, Agnieszka and Pribislawa. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named The Exile and Zbyslawa.
