Count Berthold of Diessen II

Berthold was born in 1000 in Upper Isar.¹ Berthold's father was Count of Oberisar Friedrich of Diessen I and his mother was Kunizza von Oenningen. His paternal grandparents were Margrave Berthold of Bavaria and Countess of Lorraine; his maternal grandparents were Emperor Conrad von Oehningen I and Richilde von Schwaben. He had two brothers named Friedrich and Otto. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 60 in 1060.²
