Count Reinald of Dassel 
Reinald was born in 1129 in Dassel, Hannover, Prussia.1 Reinald's father was Count Reinald of Dassel and his mother was Countess Mathilde of Schauenburg. His paternal grandparents were Dietrich von Dassel and Kunihild. He had a brother and a sister, named Ludolf and Gepa. He was the second oldest of the three children.
