7th Earl of Angus Gilbert de Umfreville

Gilbert was born in 1214 in Prudhoe, Northumberland, England.¹ Gilbert's father was Richard de Umfreville and his mother was Sybilla de Torrington. His paternal grandparents were Lord of Prudhoe Odinel de Umfreville II and Alice de Lucy; his maternal grandparents were William Torrington III and <Unknown>. He had two sisters named Margery and Sybil. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 31 on March 13th, 1245 in Prudhoe, Northumberland, England. He was buried in Priory, Northumberland, England.¹
