Hugh de Port

Hugh was born in 1118 in Basing, Hampshire, England.¹ Hugh's father was Henry de Port and his mother was Hawise de Basing. His paternal grandparents were Sheriff of Hampshire Hugh de Port and Orence de Basing. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, William and Etheldreda. He was the second oldest of the four children.
