Amauri (The Strong) de Montfort 
Amauri, known as The Strong, was born in 1056 in Montfort Amaury, Normandy, France.1 The Strong's father was Simon de Montfort I and his mother was Isabel Bardoul. His paternal grandparents were Amauri de Montfort and Bertrada de Gometz; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Bardoul de Broyes and Elizabeth de Sours. He had a sister named Elizabeth. He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Amaury and Bertrade.-
