Hugh de Lusignan 
Hugh was born in 1141 in Lusignan, Vienne, France.1 Hugh's father was Hugh (le Brun, le Vieux) de Lusignan VIII and his mother was Bourgogne de Rancon. His paternal grandparents were Hugh (le Brun) de Lusignan VII and Sarazine; his maternal grandparents were Geoffrey of Rancon III and Fossefie de Fontenay. He had six brothers named Geoffrey, Robert, Amalric, Guy, Peter and William. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 28 in 1169.1 General Notes
Hugues de Lusignan, Co-Seigneur de Lusignan in 1164 (c. 1141 - 1169), married before 1162 Orengarde N, who died in 1169, leaving an infant son Hugues who was to become Hugh IX of Lusignan, and an infant son Raoul who was to become Raoul I de Lusignan
